Become the 9th Dragon.

THE 50/50

50 Miles + 50 km · 138.1 km · 8,079 m climb · Win both days, win the title

This is the race The 9 Dragons was built for. The 50 Miles across the Kowloon ridgeline from a midnight start. Then, on broken legs and a heavier mind, you come back on Sunday for the 50km. Two courses, one weekend — 138.1 kilometres and over 8,000 metres of climbing combined. Win both days and you carry the title home: the 9th Dragon.

Running 50km on dead legs is the hardest thing you can do here on two legs.

It is the toughest double-ultra under 100 miles in Hong Kong, with a finish rate around 45%. The story has been told on film — "Is This Fun?" by Robin Lee — and written by the runners who have stood on top of it: Magdalena Boulet, Kristian Joergensen and Angie Yan in 2024; John Ray Onifa and Kanako Edamoto in 2025.
